About us

We are not your run-of-the-mill bank.

Founded in 1922, Alpha Bank London combines the heritage and stability of a long-established financial institution with the ambition and agility of a growing organisation. As an independently regulated UK bank within the Alpha Bank Group, we provide specialist banking services to personal and corporate customers in the UK and internationally.

This is an exciting period of growth and transformation for the Bank. Alongside our established business, we are developing a new digital retail banking proposition focused on serving the Greek, Cypriot and wider diaspora communities across the UK. Backed by a strong Board, supportive shareholders and an ambitious strategy, we are investing in our future and looking for talented individuals to help shape it.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our Compliance team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, you will play a key role in supporting and strengthening the Bank's regulatory compliance framework. Working within the second line of defence, you will be responsible for delivering compliance monitoring activities, conducting thematic reviews, maintaining regulatory mapping, managing compliance risk assessments and providing practical regulatory advice to business stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who enjoys working across a broad range of regulatory matters and partnering with the business to drive positive outcomes. You will contribute directly to ensuring the Bank maintains high standards of regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of good governance, accountability and conduct.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Compliance Monitoring Programme and undertake thematic reviews.
  • Maintain regulatory mapping and the Compliance Risk Assessment framework.
  • Provide compliance advice and support to business stakeholders.
  • Support MiFID compliance and wider regulatory obligations.
  • Investigate compliance breaches and support complaints oversight.
  • Prepare compliance MI and governance committee reporting.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and regulatory change initiatives.
  • Support policy development and ongoing enhancement of compliance procedures.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture across the Bank.
  • Contribute to wider Compliance team activities and projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience within a UK banking environment.
  • Previous regulatory compliance experience within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulatory requirements and the FCA Handbook.
  • Excellent knowledge of MiFID requirements.
  • Experience conducting compliance monitoring reviews and thematic assessments.
  • Experience of compliance risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and assess their practical application.
  • Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

Why Join Us?

At Alpha Bank London, you'll be joining a collaborative and supportive team where your expertise will make a genuine difference. Our size gives you the opportunity to work across a broad range of compliance activities, gain exposure to senior decision-makers and contribute meaningfully to the Bank's strategic objectives.

If you're looking for a role where you can apply your regulatory expertise, influence positive change and help shape the future of a growing bank, we'd love to hear from you.

Ready to make your mark? Let's do it. Together.
