Dan has held the role of Chief Risk Officer at Alpha Bank London since 2022, bringing a thoughtful, measured approach to the Bank’s risk strategy and governance.
His journey with Alpha Bank began in 2015 as Head of Regulatory Reporting within the Finance team. From there, he transitioned into the role of Head of Risk, holding the SMF4 designation for two years. In 2019, Dan returned to Finance as Deputy CFO and Head of Finance, and in 2020, expanded his remit to include Head of MIS, demonstrating his versatility and leadership across multiple disciplines.
Before joining Alpha Bank, Dan spent four formative years with KPMG and Kleinwort Benson, sharpening his analytical skills and gaining invaluable experience in financial services. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCCA) with the ACCA, having trained with Deloitte, and holds a BSc in Banking and Finance from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
