Joe was appointed Chief Executive Officer in March 2026, a role that reflects the significant impact he has made on the Bank throughout his 16 years of service.
Before becoming Chief Executive Officer, Joe served as Chief Commercial Officer at Alpha Bank London, where he led both the Real Estate Finance and Private Banking teams with characteristic composure and a discerning eye for opportunity.
His journey with the Bank began in 2010, when he joined the Real Estate Finance team. By 2017, he had advanced to Head of Real Estate Finance, overseeing a period of substantial growth. Under his leadership, the lending portfolio expanded from £150 million to more than £500+ million in the space of four years. This period stands as a testament to his strategic insight and deep understanding of the market.
Prior to joining Alpha Bank London, Joe spent eight years at Bank of Cyprus UK (now Cynergy Bank), working closely with corporate clients and small businesses. In 2008, he broadened his expertise by moving into the property sector, engaging in a diverse range of transactions from land acquisitions and disposals to the development of housing, care homes, and hotels. This experience sharpened his versatility and enriched his understanding of the customer, giving him a clear sense of the motivations and challenges that shape client decisions.
Joe holds a Management degree from Manchester Business School, which draws on a combination of disciplines that mirrors his multifaceted approach to leadership, innovation, and thoughtful stewardship.
