Michalis combines technical expertise with strategic vision. He holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, New York, and a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens - credentials that speak to both analytical rigor and innovative thinking.
With more than 20 years of professional experience, including 18 in senior leadership roles within Greece’s banking sector, Michalis has consistently driven transformation. At Eurobank, he served as Group Chief Digital Officer, leading the bank’s digital strategy, and as Deputy General Manager, heading Global Transaction Banking. Earlier in his career, he honed his skills at Boston Consulting Group, focusing on Financial Services, and at HSBC Greece as Manager of Strategic Initiatives.
On December 1, 2021, Michalis joined Alpha Bank as Executive General Manager. By January 1, 2024, he assumed the role of Chief Digital Officer, and as of July 15, 2025, he serves as Chief Digital and Technology Officer - guiding the bank’s digital and technological evolution with clarity and purpose.
